International Butterfly Breeders Association
Annual Convention, 2009
November 19 - 22, New Orleans, LA, USA

From: Dan Staehr
To: IBBA Mailing List
Sent: Monday, November 23, 2009

Greetings from NOLA,

The 2009 IBBA convention is history!! Thank you to all who attended and worked so hard and long to put it together. As Melanie said the workshops and presentations were extremely informative. I will be compiling a CD/DVD of most of the presentations. This will be available free to each convention registrant, and we will offer additional copies to the rest of the membership for a yet to be determined price.

Special thanks go out to all of our speakers, Chip Taylor, Kathleen Ziemer, Kathy Marshburn, Rick Mickula, Gloria Brons, Dale McClung, Zane Greathouse, Wayne Wehling

Kudos to Melanie McCarthy, Linda Rogers, Paul Chesterfield and Bobbie McGee for all they did to organize the auction, and don't forget, Elvis too!!!

Thanks go out to Jacqui Knight who organized our internet meetup with members and friends in Australia...Jacqui tells me our Australian membership may be growing ;)

As I get copies of photos and other convention goodies, I will send them on to Paul to post on the IBBA web site.

Finally...as we get ready to celebrate Thanksgiving Day here in the United States, I want to offer my thanks to the IBBA and its members who continue to share ideas and information with each other, and bring together butterfly professionals from around the world in friendship and camaraderie.
